CARMELO ANTHONY LIKELY DONE AFTER THE ALL STAR GAMES

Knick’s power forward Carmelo Anthony might just be done for the season after the All-Star games.
While speaking to ESPN Radio the Knicks forward said that it’s “very likely” for him not to play for the Knicks after the All-star weekend.
The star stated that he intends on playing for the all-star game on Sunday which will be held at Madison Square Garden, he went on to add that he will do so, “even if it’s just for a few minutes” – but is likely to be done for the season after that.
"It's very likely. It's very likely. Now I've got to start thinking about the future," Anthony told P.J. Carlesimo, Marc Kestecher and Marc Stein in an interview on ESPN Radio. "This season is this season. So I really want to just sit down with my team and sit down with the proper people to just kind of plan this thing out and see exactly what I have to do to get done and just to fix it."
Carmelo who is Knicks’ leading scorer as well as its franchise player has been playing for the Knicks this season with a sore knee for several months know.
Carmelo Anthony didn’t play during Wednesday’s game between the Knicks and Orlando a game which they loss as the result of aggravating his injury during a game against the Miami Heat.
Despite the injury, the Knicks forward intends on playing at the all-star east verses west game so as to honor the fans who voted for him,
"Even if I come out and just play a couple minutes and just wave," Anthony said. "I don't think the fans deserve [seeing me miss the game]. They voted me in for a reason, so at least I can show them that I appreciate that by just participating in the game."
